Homemade Cheese Danish

Ingredients

  • 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
  • 1/3 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 puff pastry sheets, partially thawed
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 2 tsp. granulated sugar
  • Toppings of choice such as sliced fruit or powdered sugar

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400F/200C.
  2. In base of Whip N Mix Chef, add cream cheese, powdered sugar and vanilla extract. Replace cover and turn handle on gear II until well combined.
  3. On Silicone Baking Sheet with Rim, unfold pastry sheet, and use separate the Kitchen Shears. Use the non-sharp edge to score and separate the dough into four equal pieces.
  4. Make indentation along the edges of each square and fill with 2 tbsp of cream cheese mixture.
  5. Brush along the sides with egg and sprinkle sugar on top. Repeat with remaining puff pastry and cream cheese mixture.
  6. Bake four Danishes at a time for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Serve immediately.
