How to Use Your FridgeSmart Container

Storing Produce: Remove all packaging from fruits and veggies, and place in container. Avoid washing produce before placing it in the container. Food with similar venting needs can share a container.

Using the Vent: Close the lid and set the slider to the appropriate level based on the venting guide.

Placing in the Fridge: Once filled, place your FridgeSmart eco-friendly food containers in the fridge. When combined with other FridgeSmart containers, the modular design offers efficient stacking to save space and keep your fridge organized. To prevent condensation, avoid positioning it against refrigerator walls.

How to Care For Your FridgeSmart Container

Washing: The dishwasher-safe food container can also be handwashed. (The slider can remain attached while washing). Wash the container before first use and after every use.

Drying & Storing: Make sure your fridge container and lid are totally dry before each use for more effective moisture control. When not in use, keep the lid off when storing the container to prevent humidity inside.

The FridgeSmart food storage container is not designed for microwave use or heat.

A Fresher Way to Store Your Produce

Save Time & Money By Reducing Waste

Enjoy longer-lasting freshness with the Tupperware FridgeSmart Medium Deep food container. The container is designed to help fruits, vegetables, and herbs stay fresh and flavorful longer.

Tupperware ACE Venting System

Want to stop throwing away wilted greens and overripe fruits? This produce container features our proprietary Atmosphere Controlled Environment (ACE) system that helps food last longer, making it a great way to store produce in the fridge. The 3-position slider adapts the vent in the lid to balance airflow to match the “breathing” needs of a specific food. And the ridged bottom promotes air circulation to keep condensation away from food. This means longer freshness and peace of mind knowing your produce stays protected and fresh.

Built-in Venting Guide

What's the best way to store certain fruits and veggies? The produce storage container eliminates the guesswork because it comes with an easy-to-follow chart that tells you which venting option to choose. The chart is printed within the layers of the container so it won't fade or wash off. You can scan the QR code on the chart for explanations related to the pictograms on the guide.

Enjoy an Organized Fridge

Designed for today's kitchens, the container is part of a modular system that saves fridge space, and a transparent base makes it easy to see the contents.

Q: Can the FridgeSmart food container really extend the life of fruits and vegetables?

A: Yes. It features an air circulation system designed to maintain freshness for the specific type of produce you're storing. This system has been rigorously tested and is proven to extend 'best by' dates by up to three weeks. (Freshness duration varies by produce type.)

Q: How do I know which vent setting to use for the most effective produce storage?

A: The illustrated venting guide on the container shows which fruits and veggies require an open (empty circle), half-open (half circle), or closed (full circle) vent. Some foods, such as bananas and tomatoes, shouldn't be stored in the fridge and are marked with an "X" on the venting guide.

Q: Should produce be washed, peeled, or sliced before it's stored in the fruit and vegetable container?

A: Avoid washing produce before storing to minimize moisture getting into the container. Food stays fresh longer when not peeled, sliced, or cut before storing.

Q: What kinds of produce can be stored in the container?

A: It can store a wide range of produce, including greens, berries, root vegetables, and herbs. Discover the various sizes in the FridgeSmart line so you can match your produce storage needs.

Q: How can I be sure that I recognize the type of produce shown on the venting guide?

A: Check for the online user instructions by scanning the QR code, which is printed on the venting guide.

Q: Can I store different types of produce in the same container?

A: Yes, as long as they belong to the same group of fruits or veggies and have the same venting needs.

Q: Can my container be stored in the freezer?

No. It's specifically designed as a high-quality storage container for the fridge. For freezer containers, check out our Tupperware® Freezer Mates® line.

Q: What warranty does this product have?

This product has a Q symbol warranty. See details in our Warranty Policy.
