Classic Lasagna

Ingredients
- 1lb. lasagna noodles
- 1 tbsp. olive oil
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1.25 lbs. ground beef
- ½ tsp. salt
- 25 oz. marinara sauce (such as tomato basil, roasted garlic, etc.)
- ½-cup water
- 2- 8 oz. packages of sliced mozzarella cheese
- 4 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 8 oz. cream cheese, softened (optional)
- ½ cup parmesan cheese, grated
Directions
- Place lasagna noodles in the Microwave Pasta Maker, add water up to max line and microwave on high power for 10 minutes. Check for doneness, strain and set aside.
- Heat up skillet to medium heat and add oil. Add onion, garlic and cook for 3-5 minutes. Add ground beef and mix to combine. Cook until meat is no longer pink. Stir in marinara sauce. Add water into marinara jar, close and shake it, then pour into the skillet and mix with beef. Season to taste and let cook for an additional 5 minutes or until thickened.
- Preheat oven to 350°F/180°C.
- In the base of the UltraPro 3.5-Qt./3.3 L Lasagna Pan, spread a thin layer of meat sauce. Arrange four lasagna noodles lengthwise, overlapping with each other. Then spread a layer of meat sauce, followed by a layer of sliced mozzarella cheese. If using, dollop half the cream cheese on top and then spread 1 ½ cups of shredded cheese in a single layer.
- Repeat step four, reserving about ½ cup of meat sauce.
- Add remaining meat sauce on top of the noodles, then cover with remaining shredded cheese and parmesan cheese.
- Cover and bake for 15 minutes, then uncover and bake for an additional 15 minutes. Let cool slightly and serve warm.
