Use and Care

How to Use Your Fridge and Freezer Set 

Place fruits or vegetables into FridgeSmart® containers, and set the vent in the lids according to the handy chart printed on the side of the containers. Produce using the same vent setting can be stored in the same container. Avoid placing containers against the walls of the fridge to prevent excessive condensation. 

Allow hot foods to cool before placing them into Freezer Mates® Plus containers. Press the lid completely onto the container before placing into the freezer. 

Arrange containers to allow proper air circulation. 

How to Care for Your Fridge and Freezer Set 

Wash before first use 

Handwash or place into dishwasher. Do not use abrasive cleaners. 

Not safe for use in microwave or oven 

Store containers with lids off when not in use to allow airing.

A: This set is suitable for storing a variety of refrigerated and frozen foods, including produce, leftovers, and prepared meals. FridgeSmart® containers are designed especially for keeping produce fresh longer than other storage methods. However, they should not be used for tomatoes, eggplant, bananas, kiwifruit, avocado, peaches, or plums. 

Q: Are these containers dishwasher safe? 

A: Yes. Place them on the top rack, and avoid pressing heavy dishes against them that could distort them during prolonged exposure to heat.
