Microwave Rice Maker
- Product Review (submitted on January 28, 2018):
I purchased my rice maker from Dixie Longate and I simply can't live without it. Not only does it cook rice in a cinch, it's great for steaming vegetables, fresh or frozen. Rice can be tricky--it needs to be rinsed thoroughly until the water is clear and rice-to-water ratio may need to be adjusted depending on the rice. It can overboil or foam over in any pot whether it's a Tupperware rice steamer, a stove top pot, or a plug-in rice cooker. In any case, babysitting the rice is not something we all have time for.
There is a helpful article on eHow called "How to Reduce the Foam in Cooking Rice" by Nick Marshall. Taking a few minutes to read this article along with how to use your Tupperware rice maker will surely make a busy dinner a more successful and enjoyable one. Think of your Tupperware as an investment and you'll find that you won't be able to live without your rice maker!
